The Alcatel-Lucent 8379 DECT IP-IBS provides a robust infrastructure for Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT), both indoors and outdoors, ensuring connectivity for mobile employees wherever it is needed. It delivers excellent voice quality, even in challenging environments. Used together with Alcatel-Lucent DECT handsets, the base stations provide professional communication features (e.g. dial by name and multiple line management) from Alcatel Lucent Communication Servers. The resulting solution enables cost-effective operation in businesses of any size. Excellent voice quality is complemented by straightforward operation in SMEs, on campuses, and in industrial or potentially explosive environments. The base stations require only cost-effective digital twisted-pair connectivity and are centrally managed by the Communication Servers.
